Synopsis
In a time period and a town where homosexuality is persecuted, two women have found love and made a secret life together, sneaking around in the nighttime. But living and loving in the dark becomes too much for Tess, who longs to be herself, openly.
Though the two have discussed escaping to California many times, it has always been a pipe dream.
Until now: Tess has a plan for them to leave at first light.
Despite everything she could gain, however, Emma is too afraid to leave the life she knows.
Tess must decide whether to stay for love and abandon herself; or to fight for herself and let her love go.
